It has been 19 days, dedicated and strongly committed Muslims on this planet have been abstaining from food and beverages, tobacco, bad mouthing,, ill feeling towards others and doing other negative deeds in order to get  the blessing from Allah swt. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam. A true Muslim must stay hungry from sunrise to sundown in the whole month of  Ramadhan. Muslims perform this religious obligations to experience the practice of the earliest Muslims who fasted in order to experience the hardship of the hard core poor who survived on minimum food. Hopefully by fasting Muslims would be generous and helpful to the needies.

For the first time in 15 years my four grandchildren have added fun and happiness to my wife and I. We, my wife and I ,have been living together when youngest child, Mohammad  Asshad, enrolled as a student in Sekolah Menengah Teknik, Bukit Katil, Melaka. The house would be empty from 9 to 5 as both of us were still working working then. We would only meet, dine and exchange few lines of dialogue before going to bed. I would leave to UiTM Lendu as early as 6.30 in the  morning and would only  be  homed  around 630 or 7.00 in the evening..This has been going on for the past 26 years. In fact I spent  more than half of my professional career on the road travelling from Muar to Melaka.

July 25, 2012, has brought new light and life into our home and family when my beloved kiddos moved from Kajang to Muar. To make this happen, we have added a new room to our house to be a five-bedroom semi-detached house. The  presence of our blood, has transformed the serenity. The scenario is never dull and quiet. It is always hectic and noisy. At  what price di we have to pay> The 9-tear-old male twins have broken the bed, one of them have broken the writing chair ad many numerouss mischiefs.

My daily routine has become busy and hectic. The day statred after the  Subuh Prayer On reabbbching home from yhe surau, I would make sure the three kids are reading for school. All must brush their teen, take their bath and put on thier uniforms  We must groom their hair and upkeep their smartness. They left at around 6.45 am leaving the youngest, aged 1 1/2 years, behind, I then would picked the laundry and washed them in the  washing mashine. The washing process would last for about an hour. Meanwhile, I would be collecting and disimbursing the  rubbish. Once the machine stopped, I would hang them to dry.

Thn I would be able to relaxed for an hour  or show. By 10. I headed to the sundry shop to buy newspapers and some grocery. From 11 to noon I spent my time  reading the newspaper. At 1.20 I perform my Zuhr prayer. Sometimes I snoozed till 4 pm. At 4.34 pm I would performed Asr prayer. Then I would offer my hand to my wife in the kitchen. At around 6, mytwin grandson, Farhan, would accompany to buy goodies at the Ramadhan Market. Usually  we spebt between RM 10- rn 15.00. The breakfast time is around 7.23 pm. Thix is the best  moment of our life. Everyone iis enjoying his meals untill he is satiated. The eating gala would end at around 7,50. Everyone would perform Maghtrib prayerqbefore  performing Isa' prayer.I headed to surau to perform Isy. and Tarawih prayer which ended around 10 pm. Usually I reached home at 10.14.

After resting by watching TV and I resigned myself at around 1.00 am and I would be again at around 4 am to have my sahur before perfrming my Subuh prayer again.

There goes my dsily routine. Till we meet again,Au Revoir.

Assalamualaikum
After  performing Subuh prayer at  the local surau, I headed home to perform the daily house chores to enlighten my wife's heavy burden of upbringing our 4 grandchildren who have joined us since SaturdayJuly 27th, 2012.

The quartet consists of 2 intelligent 9-year-old male twin, their 7=year-old sister and their youngest 1 1/2 years-old sister. The trio were transferred from Sekolah Kebangsaan Saujana Impiann, Kajang,  Selangor to Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Maharani, Muar, Johor. They moved to the new school because they would be attending Religious Education in the state of Johor. The idea of spending their primary education in Johor bore from me. I want all my grandchildren to be all round individual who are balanced in their academic and religious endeavours.

Their first day in their new school was on Wednesday, 19 July 2012, Our eldest grandchild,  9-year-old, Muhammad Harith Farhat Mohd Latif, also well known as Abang, his twin brother, Muhammad Harith Farhan, also known as Anand, their 7-year-old sister, Maryam Khadeeja Bt Mohd Latif , also known as Kak Yam, had their first breath of Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Maharani, Muar, Johor at 7.00 am, Wednesday, 18 July 2012. Our beloved Abang was emplaced in Year Three Mawar, while our awsome Anand and beautiful Kak Yam were emplaced in Year Three  and Year Two Raya respectively.

As a legal guardian to our three school-going grandchildren, we have to sacrifice  our privacy. time, effort, committment and preserverance in order to transform  them to be successful in their spiritual, emotional and intellectual endeavours. The success of an individual child does not depend solely from their hereditary, he or she depends on the upbringing and environment too. The parents play the biggest role in providing the basic needs of food, clothing, education and recreation.  Parents need the expertise and dedication of other professionals such as teachers, councellors, coaches and doctors to help them achieve their dreams and aspirations to produce a successful child. Success could only be achieved through a sound cooperation of all people around us. Hence students, parents, teachers, councellors, religious teachers, doctors, etc, must be willing to work together in producing a well balanced individual.

SK Bandar  Maharani, Muar, Johor has the Form, but does it have the Substance? Something that has the form does not necessarily has the substance which is usually being run and operated by human..Human play the vital and critical role in making mission and vision a success. One negative feedback I received from an iota of negative substance from the staff of this school was on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at around noon when I received an uninteresting and irrelevant response from the staff of  the school on enquiring about the school hours when lady was unsure of the hours and without execusing herself she passed the line to another staff who provided the hours I wanted. The school  has displayed a good and informative environment, unfortunately the form is being tainted by  a substance that is  not condusive to this kind of beautiful environment. On the whole the teachers are courteous and friendly. May I suggest that students be allowed to put their bags at the back of the assembly rather that to shoulder them to their classes first and then walk back to the Dataran Ilmu. I assume the teachers would want to walk directly to the Daaran Ilmu rather than putting their bags first and then walking back to Dataran Ilmu.

My wife, my daughter, a Bank Officer, my son-in-law, a TNB employee, and  I, surrender four precious jewels to the  Headmaster, Teachers and Staffs to offer intellectual, spiritual and emotional guidance. Insy' Allah, with the will of Allah, we will be able to produce multi-talentef Malaysians of the future.

Sincerely

Assalamualaikum
My followers, especially UiTM Melaka students, must be  wondering where have I been since my contract expired in October 2010. Well, officially my tenure as an associate professor in the university ended on 31 Dec.201o.

Before my last day as a government servant fo 41 years, fate was jealous with me. God had given me germ poisoning on my left arm where I was operated and I was warded for 8 days in the 1st  Class A, Muar Hospital. This was not my  first experience of staying in a hospital ward as  was warded for a few times  for my stone in kidney cases, but I was never operated on. That was my first experience of entering an Operation Theatre. I sincerely thanked Dr Rahman and his team for carrying out the two=hour operation awsomely.

The agony of the whole ordeal did not start before and during the operation, but started after the operation. I was fully sedated  to underago the  operation. Immediately after the operation, I was pushed to the medical ward. The horror of operation cmmenced. Affter about half an hour, the sedative power extinguished. For about 5 - 6  hours I had the bear the painful experience of operation. My wife and visitors cold bear to see me struggling to relieve my pain. Finally after 6 gruelling hours I finally regain my composure.

The next unforgettable experience was the recovery stage. Everyday my wound must be cleaned. The process  would last for about 30 minutes. The nurse or doctor would clean the wound, applied medication and bandaged the wund. The recovery process took about 20 visit to the clinic. I should say that this one of the horrifying pains that I had gone through in life. During my 8 - Day stay in the ward, I was deprived of my favourite food and my tobacco.  I missed the sweetness in my food and drink. The one blessing that I I received from Allah  was that I was able to perform Tahajjud, Taubat  and Hajjat Prayers  every night until now.

It has  been 1 year and 8 months that the most forgetable experience had gone by, my health is never the same again because Allah tested my preserveance through freak accide nts in 2011. I will share my accidents in my next writing.

Till we meet again, Selamat Berpuasa.
